Today I installed my new copy of Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10. I couldn’t think of a better way to put it to use immediately than to post an entry in my blog.
My initial impressions of the product are very promising. I was able to use voice commands to work my way through the tutorial which was very well laid out. Dragon comes with a text editor called Dragon pad that allows you to practice editing a document. Although Dragon works with many programs, Dragon pad was perfect for working my way through the tutorial.
I discovered quickly from a browser perspective that Dragon prefers Internet explorer to Google chrome. My suspicion is that Dragon will have something of a bias towards Microsoft office products, but more experimentation will be required before I can say that for certain.
Notwithstanding any shortcomings that I may discover Dragon has proven itself in the short time I’ve used it to be a very impressive product. I look forward to experimenting with it and I will share my results with you in future posts. As always, if you have any questions please leave a comment and I’ll be happy to respond.
Peace
